The Eczema Itch Aim

The Eczema Itch is a blog dedicated to finding out more about eczema which is estimated to affect over 6 million people in the UK alone.
I will be seeking to discover some key facts about eczema including:
  • The statistics
How many people suffer from eczema? What effect does it have on their day to day lives? How much time and money do people spend on easing their flare ups?
  • The sufferers
Who are the people that suffer from eczema? What are their stories? Have they found a cure? Did they find professional advice from doctors a help or a hinderance?
  • The treatments
What treatments are out there? How effective are they? Are people losing faith in professional advice and taking treatment into their own hands and is this safe?
  • The controversies
Have chemicals and unhealthy diets led to an increase in eczema? Are steroid creams safe? Do people with and without eczema see it as a debilitating condition?

I aim to do this by getting out and talking to real people who suffer or have been affected by eczema and by talking to professionals including dermatologists and doctors who diagnose and help people with their eczema woes every day.
